SYNOPSIS
When Charles Earthstein, who works for The Chicago News and M&M Publications, goes to Harlem's World Famous Apollo Theatre in New York City to interview the one and only Jackie "Moms" Mabley, we see and hear of her life, reveals some of her personal hopes, dreams, betrayals, despairs, fame and most importantly, her struggles to become America #1 comedian and "The Funniest Woman in the World!" Viewers will experience her life through flashbacks of performances and the telling of her-story from her birth in 1884 until her death in 1975.This imaginative and semi-autobiographical.

Ronnetta Renay ( Jackie MOMS Mabley )
Ronnetta Renay is reprising her role as Jackie Moms Mabley in this production. She is an actor, writer, director, and producer. She was born and raised in Baltimore City, and has always had a passion for performing and entertaining. To date Ronnetta has had roles in: “The Piano Lesson”, “ Underground”, “Getting Unstuck”, “Return To Morality”, “Wonderland”, "Dance on Widow’s Row”, and a host of other stage productions, independent films, national commercials, and web series . Ronnetta Renay is currently The Assistant Program Director at the UJAMAA Black American Theater, serving under the mission of bringing stories of the American Black experience to light."My god given purpose is to inspire others ...to inspire others... using art as the vehicle. It is an honor to share the legacy of the late great Jackie Moms Mabley with the world. Liam Bobersky ( Charles Earthstein ) is an upstate transplant that came for the lights and stayed for the food. He is a graduate of the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. Some of his credits include a touring production of Midsummer Night's Dream with Capital Repertory Theater and a recent commercial debut for WB Mason. He is also acurrent member of TAP NYCis a graduate of the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. He is thrilled to be performing in the production of Mom's Mabley!
